Basics required to appreciate the significance of the herb in treating cancer: Normal cells in our body die when they are no longer functioning efficiently. They commit suicide. This process is called apoptosis. Every normal healthy cell of the body is programmed to undergo apoptosis after some time. But in a patient with cancer, the malignant cells of cancer, do not possess the ability of apoptosis. That is why instead of dying they multiply at an abnormal rate. These harmful cancer cells then affect the normal healthy cells too compelling them to undergo apoptosis pre-maturely or before time. As a result, the number of healthy cells in the body reduce and the harmful cancer cells number becomes substantial. This causes death of the patient from cancer.
