Saw Palmetto (Serenoa Repens) is a small palm tree native to the southeastern United States. It is also known as American dwarf palm tree and cabbage palm. The tree produces yellow flowers and reddish black berries. It is the berries from which the saw palmetto extract is taken. The berries themselves are very high in fatty acids and phytosterols.
