An original native to South Africa and Namibia, the name of the plant originates from its small claw-like barbs or hooks that cover its fruits. The dried roots of Devil’s claw have long been used to promote appetite, stomach upset, to treat degenerative diseases such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc.
