Herbs can not only be externally applied but can also be cooked and taken internally. Some of the herbs that can be cooked are

Basil: This herb should be dried, and crushed when using in the recipe. Basil can be used in soups, sauces, stews and salads

Mints: These herbs add great flavor to curries. This herb is used to make candies, mouth fresheners and herbal shampoos. It is said to be a great cooling agent.

Oregano : This herb can be used to season soups, roasts, salads and stews. A pot of oregano proves to be a great piece of decoration.

Sage: This herb is used to season cheese and curries. Also, tea made with this herb tastes very good.

Fennel: The seeds of this herb can be used to season fish, vegetable curries, and pastries.
