Eucalyptus is a herb tree, the leaves of which give out a wonderful healing smell. It is native to Australia, but today can be found growing in subtropical regions worldwide. The oil extracted out of eucalyptus leaves acts as an effective and natural cure for many ailments:
Muscular aches and pains: You will obtain soothing relief from the muscular aches and pains of arthritis, rheumatism, sprained tendons and ligaments, strained, bruised, stiff and sore muscles by gently massaging Genuine Australian Eucalyptus Oil on affected areas until a warm glow is felt. Repeat at intervals until the pain or swelling disappears. Eucalyptus Oil helps relieve arthritis pain and muscle aches. Rubbed onto the skin, eucalyptus oil stimulates blood flow and generates the sensation of warmth.
Cough and flu: Eucalyptus Oil is good for sore throats, coughs, chest infections, such as bronchitis, asthma and for colds, flu and sinus infections. Use 2 or 3 times daily with steam inhalation or rub it directly on the chest – dilute with almond or olive oil if you wish. For eucalyptus to provide an effective expectorant and antiseptic action, the volatile oil should contain at least 70 eucalyptol. Eucalyptus oil has been compared to menthol because it acts on receptors in the nasal mucosa, which help to alleviate nasal congestion.
Insect Bites: You can get quick relief from the pain of insect bites by applying Genuine Australian Eucalyptus Oil or Spray on to sore and swollen areas. Repeat if necessary. For spray, mix 1/4 oil with 3/4 water. This also works as an insect repellant for both you and your pets.
Mouthwash: For a refreshing mouthwash place two drops of oil on toothpaste when brushing teeth or add a few drops of oil to a glass of water and gargle. For gum disease, put a couple drops on your finger and massage gums.
