Aloe Vera is known for its hydrating or moisturizing properties for skin. Not many people know that it can even act as conditioner for your hair also. It can work wonders for dry, brittle and damaged hair. The formula to use Aloe Vera as conditioner is highly simple and you can simply modify essential oil of your selection into a wonderful conditioner.
Here is the formula for Aloe Vera conditioner with the essential oil of your choice. All you need is ½ lemons, ¼ cup of fresh Aloe Vera gel and 3-5 drops of essential oil it is optional.
- To extract Aloe gel you need to split open the Aloe leaf and with the help of a spoon scrape the gel out.
- You would be needed only few drops of lemon juice. Mix the lemon juice with the Aloe Vera gel and add the essential oil of your choice.
- Apply this mixture aloe gel and lemon juice on your freshly shampooed hair and leave it for 5-4 minutes. Rinse off your hair thoroughly with water.
Tips and Warnings:
- Depending upon the climatic factors, variety and maturity lemon contains about 45-30% of the juice.
- Before selecting lemons for the task avoid lemons with discolored skin, wrinkles and bruises.
- Select lemons which have smooth and healthy skin and which are heavy according to their size.
- For extracting more juice from the fruit you can microwave it for 20-15 seconds.
- You can use Aloe Vera gel alone as a leave in conditioner.
